Four Dresses I Wore To Fall Weddings This Year

CHEERS TO #WEDDINGSZN !!

Naturally, the months of September & October are so wedding-focused but you don’t really notice it until you’re in one every-single-weekend. But honestly, I LOVE weddings & getting the honor to take part and celebrate a couple’s special bond is incredible. I’m at the age now where a lot of my friends (& my boyfriend’s friends) are at this incredible time of their lives, which is very exciting as both a bridesmaid & guest in their wedding days. We already have 5 on the calendar for next year – and yes, all are in September or October 2020.

Our 2019 SZN is complete, and I was incredibly thrilled with all the dresses I chose to wear to each of the four weddings we had in these two months. I know this season (month-wise) can be a little tricky to figure out, because it’s not quite fall in early September but it’s not that warm during the evenings later on in the month. So I decided to share all the dresses I got to wear for this year of fall weddings, categorizing them by calendar date, venue location, and overall attire for each. I’ve also pulled together a few similar dresses for each, including some that I’m considering for next year already!

Lulus Angelyn Cream Multi Scarf Print Satin Midi Dress, Cocktail Attire, Fall Wedding Dress, Tilden of To Be Bright

OCTOBER 5th

Location: Country Club | Attire: Cocktail

Although it was early in the month, the evening still proved to be a chilly one. I fell in love with the print of this midi dress from Lulus, but the straps were the one thing I didn’t consider back when I ordered it vs when I would be wearing it. In order to make this great find work with the temps, I draped a neutral oversized, neutral scarf over my shoulders (which might as well have been a blanket.)

For shoes (not shown), I went with a neutral block heel sandal ~ surprisingly, my toes weren’t cold and I can successfully say that I wore them ALL NIGHT, even while dancing!

Cinq à Sept Belladonna Black Dress, Black Tie Fall Wedding Dress, Tilden of To Be Bright

SEPTEMBER 7th

Location: Mansion at Natirar | Attire: Black Tie

Rewind to the beginning of last month when it was still warm throughout the day & night. For this Black Tie wedding, I rented this stunning Cinq à Sept dress from Rent The Runway. I really hope they plan on including it in an upcoming warehouse sale because it was so perfect, from the fit to cutout detail to the asymmetrical skirt!

I went with a simple, black ankle strap pump with a stiletto heel, as this dress did better with more height. Naturally, I took them off the minute I saw the free flip flops in the bathroom…But for those of you who can handle heels better than I can, this is a great, versatile pair.

Lulus Everlasting Bliss Blush Floral Print Maxi Dress, Beach Cocktail Attire, Fall Wedding Dress, Tilden of To Be Bright

SEPTEMBER 27th

Location: Beach & Cabana Club | Attire: Cocktail

Luckily, this evening was a warm one even by the ocean. I opted for this floral maxi dress from Lulus & paired it with a hot pink pair of block heel sandals. This print & style of dress mixed the best of venue and the early fall season so perfectly.

In case it got cold, I brought an oversized, lavender scarf to drape over my shoulders. The combo of colors didn’t match perfectly, but somehow worked together magically.

ASOS House Of Stars Maxi Floral Smock Dress, Fall Wedding Dress, Tilden of To Be Bright

SEPTEMBER 19th

Location: Outdoor Venue | Attire: Rehearsal Dinner

For this wedding, I was a bridesmaid & wore a beautiful navy gown from Brideside. But for the rehearsal dinner the night before, I went with this purple, floral sleeve maxi from ASOS. Again, I felt the print best suited the time of year/month at hand. The long sleeves are light enough to not feel overheated, while allowing me to leave the unnecessary jacket at home.

With this dress, I went with a gold slide to match the gold weave belt I added to give the appearance of a defined waist.
