I wouldn’t consider myself a “feminist” in the standard form but I truly believe there’s something incredibly powerful about being a woman, especially now in this day & age. So when Vera Bradley asked me why it’s good to be a girl I tapped into what makes me a strong, determined individual alone, and came to the conclusion my confidence is the root of why I’m proud to be a woman.
When I started my blog back in 2013 I had no idea it would lead me to becoming an entrepreneur, business woman and digital influencer 3 years later. Making money off of something I was truly passionate about was only a perk, not the reason for its existence. By truly embracing myself, my style, and who I am as a person with each intimidating public photo shoot, the experience of putting myself out there slowly progressed into me finding a sense of confidence and a feeling of pride with what I was doing.
Just like Vera Bradley, I’m a unique brand with a platform to share my voice and what I have to offer in this digital, creative and retail-focused space. A confident woman is someone not afraid to stand up not only for herself but also for the people, the brands, and the beliefs she has that make up her foundation.
The women I surround myself with are incredibly talented, driven and successful individuals because of the confidence they all possess internally. Along with my girl squad, the brands I style myself with give me the same support and happiness that drives me to be the best version of myself.
