Outfits monotone in color can benefit from a touch of silver or gold detail. This time around I incorporated a statement belt in gold rather than silver – the metal I’d normally select for cooler colors such as blue.

To help “warmify” the outfit along with this gold piece, adding a pair of chestnut brown over-the-knee boots got the job done. Now the look appears more balanced  in terms of color matching.

Putting this look together began as an experiment to see if hot & cold combos could be compatible in an outfit. So far I’m happy to say there might be light at the end of the tunnel with this concept! What do you think?
