It’s the holiday season which means there will be ‘gatherings a plenty’ to be invited to! Finding something to wear for such events can be a daunting challenge considering there are so many options to choose from in the standard color scheme of holiday attire. Personally, I like to wear a color palette that matches the theme of what I’m dressing for but is also different enough & less likely to be mimicked by another attending the same event.
Opting for an open-back blouse in beige velvet proves to be an approachable choice of top in terms of color & conservative front. But clearly all the excitement happens around back which makes it a standout garment. Matching this blouse up with a burgundy-based printed skirt helps to keep the color tones acceptable for the entire ensemble, as well as give off a statement vibe of its own. Finishing the look with a pair of over-the-knee boots that aren’t black completes the unique approach this outfit offers while remaining relevant in terms of color scheme for the season.
