In The Black & Shades of Blue

Mixing the colors black and blue feels natural to me, but I can totally see how someone can be deterred to mix such darker shades so close together in the color spectrum. The trick is to play around with lighter hues of blue so the colors stand out, rather than blend together and become unnoticeable.

Spring 2017 has me working my floral pieces from the get-go, some from previous years I didn’t make too much use of before but totally into now (i.e. this kimono.) Completing this ensemble is a pair of color block blue sandals that not only have a striking design on the wide heel but are EXTREMELY comfortable to wear – I wouldn’t lie to you friends.

Who knew this black dress matched with two shades of blue would look super cool! (lol, one and done with the pathetic rhymes…)

Just saw your post via a link up and had to see more photos of the kimono. It’s absolutely stunning, and I love how you styled it with the black dress – it really pops!
