After careful consideration, I figured it would be best if I, for this annual preppy event, dress appropriately in regards to color scheme. However, I put my own twist on the dress I ended up getting by making sure it had more to it, in terms of visual appeal.
Spring trend to follow -> Cut-Out
Nasty Gal has this adorable mint & white Julep dress on their site (CLICK HERE for another color variation), which works perfectly with the vision I had in my head. White is my safety net color (brunette – white; blonde – black), and the mint pastel incorporates the spring season and the prepster vibe I need to sport for this occasion. My mom hates when I wear pastels because she’s convinced they ‘wash me out,’ but nonetheless, I see an instant tanner version of myself when I wear these light colors. The cut-out on the sides make this simple concept much more interesting and attractive to the eye.
