When you can’t find that one piece you really want, improvise. I’ve wanted a beige ribbed tunic dress for quite some time and when my efforts failed to find me the style, color and/or size that I would be satisfied with, it was time for me to think outside the box. So here’s what I did: when I discovered the right style of top I wanted – in this case sleeveless & ribbed – I bought it in the largest size available. Understanding the length would still be a tad short, finding the proper extender to add some material was my next venture.

Seriously how great did this turn out? Not only did I save money on finding that probably overpriced nude/beige dress but I also opened the doors of possibility with any other oversized top or shrunken dress I already own thanks to these underneath extenders. I got both pure white & this peach color from Grace & Lace and I’m honestly thinking of investing in more neutrals – such as grey & black – and in other fabric materials, such as lace. Definitely worth looking into with Spring legit a week away. Shop similar below:
