Hello & Happy September! We’re officially in my favorite time of the year; crisp mornings, wedding weekends, and fresh beginnings. I feel like this month acts like a new year in itself, kickstarting a reboot of personal goals and endless motivation – something I struggled with maintaining all summer, as you can see reflected by my lack of weekly posts. But nonetheless, the time to get back at it is NOW & there’s I’m lots I’m looking forward to in the upcoming weeks!
Here’s what’s on my calendar, along with some life updates & a few of recent favorite purchases:
Back-to-Back Wedding Weekends: I have the honor of attending two of my close friends’ weddings this month, one of which I’ll be a bridesmaid in. Both weddings will be held on a Friday, one week from each other and luckily, at local venues! We recently attended our first wedding of the season last weekend, also in NJ, at the beautiful Mansion at Natirar – honestly, such a stunning venue! It was black tie so I wore this gorgeous Cinq á Sept beauty from Rent The Runway, which I so badly hope goes on warehouse sale…
We Signed Our Lease: It’s official, we’ll soon be Hoboken residents in late October! I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter and pumped to have a roomie with benefits in 1.5 months. In preparation, I’ve already set up hiring a moving company because there’s NO WAY I’d be able to do this on my own/have zero desire to do so; 100% worth it for city moving, in my opinion. I’ve also reserved 50 hard crate boxes from this place called Bin It, which has free drop off at your current building AND free pick up at your new location! These boxes are much more eco-friendly and heavy-duty, eliminating having to purchase x amount of cardboard boxes that can get easily damaged or wet in the moving process. I highly recommend using Bin It (for NYC to NJ moves) or it’s competitor Gorilla Bins (for NYC to NYC moves.)
I Skipped NYFW This Season: If you follow me on IG, then you noticed the lack of NYFW posts on my end this season. With the exception of a few shows (3 to be specific), I made the decision not to fully invest in my attendance this year due to the upcoming weddings & big move that have needed my undivided attention. Sadly NYFW was on a week too busy for me this year, so I had to make some professional sacrifices for very personal ones. It happens, but it’s ok; sometimes it’s important these moments occur so you don’t lose sight on the things that truly matter, like a best friend’s wedding or the next chapter of your lifetime.
Bahamas Trip Booked: I received the opportunity to visit Great Exuma again in October & I couldn’t be more excited! I wrote all about my last trip experience back in January of this year, but this time I’ll be going with Thomas and one of my sisters + her boyfriend. We’re going two weeks before moving (lol) but I figure this was a great chance to celebrate T’s 30th birthday, along with getting a moment to soak up the sun before all of the stress when the move comes around.

Thank you so much for sharing your style on the Style Six Link Up today! I have always loved toile and your shirt is perfection – I must get one!
Good luck with your move and your trip to the Bahamas – I hope the place you’re visiting was not affected by Hurricane Dorian.

I am loving this top and how cute are those shoes! Congratulations on your upcoming move to Hoboken! What a super fun to place to live! During my days in NJ and NYC, Hoboken was the best place for date nights!
