Are you on Team ‘Wide Leg Pants‘ this summer? If so, have you always been a fan or only recently joined the fan group?
Or do you strongly dislike the trend all together?
Personally, I’ve always liked wide leg pants/bottoms but seldom do I purchase or wear them myself. I feel like they always accented my “weak areas” of self-image, like my hips, and made me appear wider than I am in an unflattering way. But maybe that’s just because I wasn’t finding the right fit or fabric for my body shape. With all this time spent at home this year, I’ve been able to go through my closet and really think about the pieces I should keep or toss in my wardrobe. When I came across a pair of white wide leg jeans that still had the tag on them (clearly never worn), I figured what the heck and tried them on again. To my astonishment, I LOVED the way they looked on me and figured it was time to think about wearing them a bit more publicly.
Since this rediscovery, I’ve added a few pairs of wide leg pants to my summer wardrobe that can easily be transitioned into fall. One of my favorites is this chambray situation I’m wearing above from an adorable new brand (to me) called Adyson Parker. I love how light and airy they are while still fitting me in all the right places that matter (ahem, the hips.) This allows me to pair them with looser fitting tops & tucked-front, knit sweaters down the road when the weather permits.
What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below! And if you’re all about them, scroll the slider to browse some pairs that gave me major heart eyes (& might also be in my online shopping cart..)
Ps – I’m doing a lil’ try-on haul over on IG Stories will all the cute pieces I just received from Adyson Parker, including these pants!
You can find them saved in my IG Highlight “Try-On Hauls” too ;]
