When in doubt, or in a rush, go neutral.  Gray pants, black top, & a beige open-cardigan paired with tan leather loafers work for those days where you don’t have the time, in any aspect, to think about what to wear.  If this is way too plain jane, which it definitely can be for some, add color with your arm candy.  Bright shades mixed with metals definitely work in a positive direction towards your overall look.
