Friday is all about comfort, both literally and figuratively. There’s an “at ease” sensation that Friday brings us when we think about the weekend and being able to mentally check-out without criticism. That being said, dressing comfortably is another trend to indulge in on this day of the week – I mean, Casual Fridays are a real thing for a reason right? Soft fabrics, loose fits in the right places and sneakers with some personality – my Friday OOTD go-to. Alright that’s enough on the outfit description; let me tell you something I find hysterical that happened while shooting this look…

Here’s something challenging to consider: How to explain a fashion blog to an older gentleman. For quite some time now, Alyssa of Platinum & Penniless and myself have taken pictures at this disclosed location with minimal onlookers to worry about. However right before this shot was taken, we were approached by a slow moving vehicle and a male driver. Needless to say he was the manager of the on-site location we’ve been shooting at and probably thought our consistent photos were in bad taste for his location.

Once we explained the innocence of all of it he was quite amused and let us continue but let me tell you, the blank stare on his face the first five minutes of explanation was prime. Clearly we’re not in Soho or any part of NYC that makes a street style shot. But when in NJ, spots are limited and thankfully we’ve scored the permission of this gentleman to continue.
