One of the many things I’m grateful for is learning how to use Adobe Illustrator & Indesign. Once upon a time I thought I wanted to be a graphic design major. In the midst of learning how to recreate images in a graphic manner and recognizing I was not up to speed with it all, I switched to Public Relations. I figured micro-managing was more up my ally. But in the process of coming to terms with my lack of graphic design skill, I did master the basics and applied them towards my blog in any way I could. My logo, images with text and these business cards speak for themselves.
When I attended my first Lucky Fabb, I met a lot of bloggers and brand reps that wanted to keep in touch and collaborate with me. Remembering everyone’s name and what they stood for became close to impossible and my biggest fear was missing out on something huge for my blog’s reputation. Whipping out a business card was my saving grace and at the end of the day, I had a pile of cards to sort through from new friends and partnerships.
I’ve played around with multiple designs and used those pre-made sites but there is nothing like having your own personal touch – and logo – on a card to maintain your brand recognition. With some Adobe Illustrator work, I managed to create my very own design that represents me and my blog to perfection. Now all I want to do is hand them out!
