Do you guys set personal or professional goals before the end of the year?
Whenever I set goals for myself, they’re always made with an attainable mindset. I don’t believe in making huge promises I can’t keep, I know myself too well. Consider me more of a sprinter than a marathoner when it comes to seeing them through. Therefore, setting monthly goals for myself is a much more effective strategy.
I’ve been toying with the idea of making myself responsible for ending each year on a high note, within my own realm of expectations. I have less than 54 days left in the year to prepare myself for an optimistic approach into 2019. Whether this means practicing new habits of productivity or doing something I’ve always wanted but kept putting off, here’s what I’d like to accomplish in these last two months of 2018:
SAVE MONEY BY USING MY KEURIG FOR COFFEE MORE OFTEN
PRACTICE CALLING IT QUITS (WORKING HOURS) BY 6PM
BE MORE DILIGENT WITH WEEKLY MEAL PLANNING
RIDE MY BIKE AROUND THE CITY BEFORE IT GETS TOO COLD
WEAR LESS/NO MAKEUP MORE OFTEN
DONATE MORE THAN ONCE TO CLOTHING/COAT DRIVES THIS WINTER
GET AT LEAST 6 HOURS OF SLEEP EACH NIGHT (BUT AIM FOR 8)
…
Guaranteed I’ll be adding more to this list before 2019 but I think this is a good place to start!
WHAT ARE YOUR YEAR-END GOALS?
Coated Pants: ILTM | Sweater: Abercrombie (similar style here) | Sneakers: Johnston & Murphy (also comes in silver)
Scarf: Gap (love this green plaid) | Bag: Henri Bendel
I love the goal you set for calling it quits at 6 pm. Sometimes I think if we don’t set times that we may overwork ourselves.
Thanks Lanae! And yes I totally agree, I’m so guilty of being a workaholic and staying up far later than necessary, which doesn’t accomplish anything productive at the end of the day haha xx
