Plaid Detail | Outcast Culture

IMG_6597IMG_6613IMG_6618IMG_6643IMG_6646IMG_6602Details: gifted Outcast Culture tee | Uniqlo pants | Target fedora | Dolce Vita loafers | leather bag

Now that I’ve graduated, my primary focus is tailoring my wardrobe to fit this next chapter in my life. However, I don’t want to give up any of the fun graphics and crops for weekend wear because let’s face it, people much older than me are still rocking them. Then I get thinking about what types of clothing is unique, yet still appropriate for everyday wear and here’s my find — the waist tie tee.

A perfect blend of both crop and button down, this Outcast Culture version of the top is practically perfect in every way. Here’s why: 1) It’s not another white shirt in your closet — the plaid detail is in all the right places without overwhelming the piece; 2) The length of the top is up to you — tie it crop style or keep it waist level; and 3) When purchased from Outcast Culture, you help partnered companies in the process.

Outcast Culture is an up-and-coming clothing company designed by Timothy Phipps and based in South Carolina (right around the area I went to college!) Backing its motto “Difference Defined,” Outcast Culture strives to promote and advocate for courage and a strong will to be different. By placing the idea of style consistency aside, OC shakes things up by offering a diverse variety of clothing for those willing to be unique (like myself!)

I love the idea behind Timothy’s brand and hope you guys will to! Which is why we’ve teamed up to offer one lucky reader a waist tie top of her own! Be sure to enter the giveaway below for your chance to get this Outcast Culture must-have! Winner will be notified Friday, June 6. Good luck!
