On a particularly breezy Saturday, there was only one thing on my mind following this shoot – BRUNCH. For those of you not familiar with weekends in NYC, brunch is a religion in which we attend service both Saturday and Sunday afternoons and consume mass amounts of sangria/mimosa beverages over decadent breakfast plates. And as you would dress for church, having the right brunch outfit is just as respectful to keep in mind.

Normally a sun dress would be my go-to but as the temps remain in the high 50’s/low 60’s, an outfit with coverage yet minimum layers is the most comfortable for me to wear. A great pair of chiffon pants are breezy enough yet act as a pair of loose tights, while taking a tailored/structured approach with a high neck top tucked in. A light jacket that is easily removed indoors is 100x better than a heavy wool coat – because we’re done with those, physically, mentally and emotionally –  and wearing a flirty caged sandal still celebrates the spring season with enough coverage above.
