I’m not a big fan of raincoats. To me, they’re considered uncomfortable and tend to get more of me wet rather than dry. I dislike taking them off indoors and having them drip over my belongings. Long story short, I do what I can to not wear one and compromise with the weather using other items of clothing.
Like this look right here — layering up from light to dark, less durable to durable (inside to out). This is also my opportunity to wear pieces in my closet that can handle inclement weather, like these Toms botas. In terms of hair, mine is not naturally straight and tends to frizz up when wet. Simple addition of a hat or beanie and a quick braid keeps me from looking like a drowned rat, train wreck, and any other rain-associated metaphors.
