Going uppp on a Tuesday – with a pair of color block heels that remind me of ice cream and wine corks. H&M has really been on top of the game with the contemporary collection pieces, especially the genuine leather. Last week I scored two pairs (these included) of kicks that’ll transition into spring perfectly. My shopping focus this year has been versatile with every purchase – investing in pieces that I can wear more than one season and with more than two outfits. The validation to buy or the decision to leave it is all up to my ability to brainstorm two OOTDs now and later. So far it’s saved me a good amount of money, as I can be guilty of spontaneous in-the-moment decisions I really can’t afford…

Back to the topic of mixing seasons, note the darker floral dress paired with a black pony hair-imitation vest. Come spring, the dress can support itself alone but in the meantime a winterized look can be made with just a simple addition, as well as a great pair of black ankle boots (duh.)
