WHITE PANTS BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY!
Not sorry about sporting the color white on the last day of February. I’m in a spring/summer state of mind these days and taking statement colors into the winter season with accommodating outerwear pieces.
Let’s consider this act as lightly exercising the warmer weather wardrobe, shall we?
Navy & white is the epitome of the SS-seasons to me, channeling marinas, beach life, Nantucket, etc. So in order to make it more seasonally appropriate (i.e. winter friendly) an outerwear piece needs to coordinate while making up for the shorter hemline.
I opted for this bold navy trench because it is long enough to compensate for the length of the culottes – which can you believe I’m actually wearing comfortably this time of year!? Crazy right?
It might be too soon to wear this particular look but think about it for something down the road when the temps lighten up but the evenings are still on the chilly side.
