Here’s a fun fact you may or may not know about me: I used to competitively horseback ride – by competitive I mean spent my entire adolescence and teenage years showing up and down the east coast & getting recruited for a NCAA Equestrian Team in college. Those were the good ole days and although I consider myself ‘temporarily retired” from showing, I still find the time to get back in the saddle every so often for fun.

So when I came across this horse-printed romper, I was actually shocked how I didn’t turn away. Instead I gravitated towards it, which is very odd considering I refused to wear anything “horse related” in public, contrary to popular belief – I saw it as childish. Thankfully Forever21 has me taking a step back and recognizing certain prints can indeed become cool with time, and a touch of maturity on my side as well.

Forever21 always steers me towards prints and patterns I may not have considered in the past but would 100% change my tune about present-day. I think it’s the thrill of finding something that looks neat and doesn’t break the bank – if you haven’t noticed, Forever 21 is super great right now for spring. I’m glad this print from the past came back to inspire me to consider new trends for the season, many thanks to a brand that doesn’t frighten my wallet when trying new things.
