Stepping up my printed top game has been the focus of my spring purchases so far but what I’ve really come to recognize and appreciate is a pair of standard wash, skinny jeans that ultimately complete any outfit. Prints can get difficult to pair up when you’re trying to be “clever” (guilty as charged) but at the end of the day, easy going denim in a wash designed for every color match honestly can’t be beat.

Ann Taylor is a newer brand added to my shopping list and I feel like a fool for not considering it earlier. At my age of 24, stepping into unfamiliar retail territory can be a difficult task to endure – most of our habits are fully developed by the time we’re in our twenties, and yes of these “personal” habits I’m referring to are my shopping preferences.

At the same time, shopping at Ann Taylor is like walking through the door of untapped opportunity. The classic staples of any wardrobe come back to life in my eyes, and my efforts to keep it simply mature are easily met. I’m at the crossroad now where investing in quality will ultimately determine my shopping choices for the years ahead. Ann Taylor is a comfortable stepping-stone of a brand to get me styled in the right direction.
