Why consider a color-faux coat? For starters, black can get boring – sorry friends, harsh reality. Secondly, winter is dark enough and needs some cheering up, even in the most subtle of forms. Granted this hunter green version appears dark from a distance but light bounces off of it quite nicely to show some natural highlights of lighter green threads. When dressing as simplistically as jeans with creative destruction, slip-on sneaks and a plain black tee, layering up with an ultra-cozy faux option isn’t a bad idea when trying to limit your layers.
In light of the color play, making statements in jewelry and footwear definitely help towards giving this look the visual boost it needs. Draping this long gold lariat piece around my neck allows for the gold to peek through the faux, catching the sunlight with every movement. Plus, it’s a fantastic neckwear piece that can be layered up or sported alone – versatility is very key, in my opinion of jewelry and its wearable potential. Funny enough I prefer wearing gold around my neck and silver on my fingers, mixing up the metals with my chosen wristwear. Noting how cool Roman numerals appear to be in several forms of styles at the moment, this particular ring fits the bill and the empty void I was feeing with my ring game. Shop similar below:
