Two neutrals in one outfit – either a brilliant decision or a tragic idea. Yes it’s true everyone, not all shades of basic are created equal. This means you ought to be aware of shades and tints when you go to pair them up – if they’re too similar or too extreme, you might not feel as happy about it later on.
Though this dress is considered grey it appears as light lilac in the proper light – which I love! But as mentioned above, my look might not have worked out if I had chosen to wear a darker shoe. With the addition of these white boots, I’m staying on the spring-side of this dress and feel the extra “brightness” of them contribute to this look’s overall appearance. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure a black/dark shoe would look great too but maybe more for fall/evening outfit choices. Shop similar below:
