Welcome to Miami | KYBOE!

This weekend was one for the books – I’ve never been to Miami, FL before and thanks to KYBOE! I was treated to a weekend full of watches, swimsuits, sun & sand and memories I’ll remember for a very long time. It was my first time attending Miami Swim Week and needless to say I’m definitely planning to attend every year I can going forward.

KYBOE! put together a show in 3 weeks, thus sending me and several other bloggers an invite to come down and join in on the weekend fun with 2 weeks notice. Spontaneous decision but I wasn’t going to miss out on this opportunity. Leaving first thing Friday morning and arriving early afternoon in Miami I found myself in the position to get to know a new watch brand (which I’m BEYOND obsessed with now) and better yet, make new friends while creating stronger connections with bloggers I already knew but didn’t know well.

We stayed at the Townhouse Miami which was only a few steps away from the beach where we spent a majority of our Saturday afternoon. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a a gift from KYBOE! – a watch I selected a week prior which couldn’t be cooler, in my opinion. The style I got is GOLD SAND (40MM) and not only did it coordinate with everything I wore, but it also survived countless hours in the ocean. Yes, this gorgeous timepiece is waterproof!

Friday evening was the KYBOE! Fashion Show and every blogger invited sat first and second row, ideal for the view and for snapping pictures, of course. The show was filled with DJ remixed beats and had all 350 watch styles displayed on model hands that ran up and down the runway like a model would. At first I had no idea what to expect and the arrangement definitely took all of us by surprise – we’ve never seen a show like that before.

Of course in the spirit of Swim Week, models sporting bikinis and swim trunks walked up and down the catwalk wearing a coordinating KYBOE! watch. The combination of visuals and model types – both human and mannequin – was very unique and along with the music, made for a very entertaining show.

Saturday was a day full of swimwear previews in the morning, one of which being a newer brand I’m just getting to know and adore called Yandy. Hosted in an ultra-chic bungalow of the W Hotel in South Beach, brunch and mimosas were served as models walked around in the latest swimwear collection. The cuts and styles were so cute and unique, different from many of the swim options I’ve seen or even own.

Saturday afternoon was spent relaxing and sipping on Pina Coladas [in actual coconuts!] at The Setai beach lounge. It was so enjoyable getting to know everyone invited to spend the weekend with KYBOE! and I found this time at the beach to be the most beneficial to our self-networking with one another. Many bloggers I didn’t know but became friends with and the few bloggers I did know from previous events I feel like I know better.

As for the evening, I completely slacked on getting any pictures which is such a disappointment. We took a legit party bus to KYBOE! partner Marc Bell’s Boca Raton mansion [also known as the Star Trek mansion] and spent one of the coolest evenings of my life exploring his estate. Naturally I was too concerned capturing the evening on snapchat that I completely failed on getting still shots. For those of you that witnessed the fun, thank you for following my crazy-fun weekend.
