Cool Your Crochet | Wet Seal

Let’s be honest, when the weather hits close to 95°F it’s almost impossible to wear something that keeps you feeling cool outdoors. We strive for the lightest fabric and keep close to shadows to avoid that overwhelming heat from the glare of sunshine. For the days we’d rather stay indoors but need to make somewhat of a public appearance, there’s a look to consider that allows for breeze with movement and might defend your internal body temperature from climbing to an unruly degree.

OUTFIT DETAILS

Wet Seal top, shorts, bralette | Steve Madden slide loafers

A crochet top is my go-to style of top when every other top I own makes me sweat profusely. This particular one from Wet Seal allows for coverage in places I need it but also makes layering underneath with a fun bralette an exciting venture to try. This isn’t something I would wear normally but when I feel coverage up top and near my bellybutton then the look is more approachable for me to wear outdoors. Plus the addition of printed coordinating shorts that hit me above my hip bone helps to complete the coverage situation I need in this particular situation.

Now sandals would be a “cooler” option of footwear but honestly, I get tired of them pretty quickly. Slide loafers are a great substitute to consider if you’re feeling the need for something new and easy to get your foot into. I’m obsessed with this pair and currently finding myself browsing for another pair in a darker shade. The versatility of dressing them up or down is such a selling factor, wouldn’t you agree?
