With school approaching & the fall semester peaking over the horizon, the time has come for that ‘Back to School’ outfit. First day = first impression, and it can be difficult to find the happy medium between over and under-doing it. So here’s what I find helpful to achieve casual comfort, without disappearing amongst the sea of students.

It only takes one bold piece to attract positive attention. In this case, I chose my Vieta Annick bag to be my centerpiece. With the bag stealing the show, pairing solids (one neutral and one color) allows the outfit to stand well on its own without the chaos of pattern on pattern.

Swap out the backpack for an oversized tote/shoulder bag instead. You’ll be surprised how much easier it is to carry and how much better your shoulders and back will feel with a break from the wear and tear of backpack weight.
