At first glance, this is a lot to take in – color wise. I consider orange an old flame because it was once my favorite color. The reason it’s no longer my #1 is the rivalry between University of South Carolina – my alma mater – & Clemson University. The idea of wearing orange on campus was risky business and I retired the color from my wardrobe all together until just recently. Yes, that’s five years of protest but I’m sure the door swings both ways with the color garnet worn on Clemson’s grounds.

By pairing my current go-to color charcoal as an alternative matching set, the blazer is neutralized while still taking the stage. I say the word “neutralized” because a hue this bright would not be a common consideration for the fall. When in doubt, neutral it out. Oh and throw a beanie on, as we’re discussing the revisitation of old favorites . Shop similar below:
