Whether you’ve planned your Thanksgiving outfit weeks in advance or still struggling to find something that represents “casually dressed up,” we can all agree it’s the best when clothing can be worn on several occasions instead of one. Versatility is my favorite thing & I strive for my wardrobe to be the epitome of it. Holiday outfits are no exception, well maybe sometimes with the standard tacky sweater – that’s somehow always needed this time of year..
The first thought I had when I came across this plaid jumper dress is that it’s the perfect outfit to incorporate now for Thanksgiving & throughout the Christmas season. This particular color way of plaid is popular throughout the fall & winter months, so why not make it work towards your advantage? To dress it down, I’ve incorporated a cotton long sleeve tee in a neutral white to let the plaid pop; you could also match with black & make it a sweater instead of a tee, depending how chilly your conditions are. To make up for its shorter length, I added a pair of OTK boots at a lower heel so they’re still comfortable for all-day wear (I find myself on my feet more on the holidays, funny how that works..)
If you find this plaid print is more Christmasy than Thanksgiving-y, then that’s fair – after all, it has that red in it. But you can still copy this look with a different color way that better suits your style/vibe. However if this is the perfect outfit for an upcoming December event, then I’m glad I could help!
