I like to consider my style “borrowed from the boys” from time to time, frankly because the relaxed fits and oversized nature of some garments are too good to not indulge in. Needless to say I was stoked to receive these two pieces from Piperlime to feature in my second Moments of Chic campaign because they couldn’t be any better for this boyfriend-inspired look I was striving for.

Boyfriend denim with a dramatic distressed surface says “easygoing with a purpose” because the fit is casual yet the rips stand out. With the addition of a black & white flannel – one that I’ve been longing for but could never find – I feel like the most comfortable human around. This is why girls occasionally shop in the Men’s sweater section and/or steal from a guy they know – comfort just comes first.

I’ve added a boyfriend-inspired sleeveless vest just for kicks, and to make up for the fact that I didn’t want to accessorize with a bag. This is also more of a girl thing to do (layer it up) and I figure it would be a good reminder to state that although I’m inspired by the boys, I ain’t one of them. Shop similar below:
