Cold is an understatement these days. The fact that my fingers turn purple within one minute of naked exposure is 1) a sign of poor circulation and 2) a situation known as “ain’t nobody got time for that.” But those are just my digits I’m referring to –one tiny first world problem that consumes my focus when I fail to realize that the rest of my body is protected by warm clothing. I couldn’t imagine walking the wind tunnel streets of NYC without the layers I’m lucky to put on my back, especially when there are those out there in dire need of a single coat.
