Don’t the holidays seem like so long ago? The minute New Years is over the festivities come to a screeching halt. I can’t say that it I’m entirely upset about it – as much as I love the holiday season, it made me quite short on change. Considering I’ve just moved to the city and now at risk of spending more than ever due to elevated prices, I’m thankful my AT&T GoPhone plan worked to my advantage all throughout the holidays when it came to surviving by saving.

If you can recall my initial GoPhone post back in October, you’ll see that I was able to break free from the commitment of over-spending on a phone plan that didn’t match my lifestyle. If you’re a fellow blogger, you know how much you rely on your phone for social media and email purposes and are very aware of the importance of saving every dollar you make. So why should it go towards a phone plan that robs you of your freedom!? Rhetorical question.

AT&T & Fancy treated me like a princess this Christmas with this GoPhone Survival Kit which included some hip technology for my GoPhone – Happy Plugs earbuds, Tego Audio battery pack, MonoPod adjustable selfie stick and a Cera wireless portable speaker. Talk about generous! I will say my music library got a heavy dose of attention and continues to satisfy my walks to work today because of these amazing products.

Ps, I always made fun of selfie-stick users because I was secretly jealous I didn’t have one..CHECK ME OUT NOW. It’s seriously so nifty, I encourage anyone who’s into their scenery pics to get your hands on one if you haven’t already.

But in the end, the art of saving money is the biggest gift of all and that’s exactly what my GoPhone plan helped me do this year. When it came to making a quick holiday purchase on my phone to looking up a store’s holiday hours, the fear of using up too much data while not connected to WiFi didn’t terrify me as my other phone plan has for years.

Now that I’m officially a NYC-er, saving money is at the top of my priority list and I’m so appreciative I’m able to continue my extensive blogging habits on my phone thanks to AT&T’s GoPhone plan. If you need a refresher as to why you should break free from commitment, here are five reasons in illustrative detail that will convince you to do so:

You’ll stay connected all day every day, because everyone knows we’re attached to our smart phones. You’ll never miss out on a thing.

As mentioned above, there’s no annual contract and the flexibility to pick the plan that suits your budget, as well as change it when you need to, is such a stress-reliever.

Disposable phones? Nope. Prepaid GoPhone devices include the latest 4G & 4G LTE Android & Windows smartphones at affordable prices.

4. BYOD!

BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE! GoPhone is compatible with most phones, including iPhones, which allows you to utilize a phone you already own – even if the service is from another provider.

The monthly rate plans offer great value for both smartphone and basic text/talk phone customers. You receive UNLIMITED talk and text, as well as 2.5 GB of data, with a smartphone. And finally, the auto-refill feature makes it that much easier to pay with a card or bank account.
